She is a 6m catamaran, biplane rigged and expressly designed for family coastal cruising and home-building. This design is inspired by simplicity and low cost criteria conjugated with the pursuit of an habitability uncommon for this size and with a particular care to the formal aspects. She employs stitch and glue and compound plywood methods, with epoxy resin. No stock is required. Cross beams and unstayed masts are made of aluminium tubes and completely home-built. Biplane rig is a fundamental aspect of this design. She can be easily single-handed. Her ideal crew capability is 2adults and 1 or 2 children. Occasionally 4 adults can live on board comfortably, though the boat gets slower. 5 or 6 adults are admissible only for short daily sailing in smooth conditions. Accommodation is simply uncommon: height inside 1,4m; 1,1m over the seats to be comfortably sitting, embracing or…clung; layout provides, in the port hull, double bunk aft, table, seats and galley amidship and store-room/child bunk fwd and, in stb hull, for double bunk aft, chart table midship and store-room/child bunk/head fwd. A wide 4x2m trampoline is the centre of life on board both sailing and mooring. The boat sails nearly without heeling even when close-hauled, in any condition. She is a safe and roomy for family cruising even with children on board. She sails at cruising speed between 4 and 7 knots, even if she can go over 10 knots in fresh breeze. Please note that some modification has been made to the prototype represented in the pictures to improve performance: mainly, the hull beam aft has been reduced and booms adopted.
